Mini Micro Seat 3-in-1 Wins 2012 Toy Award!
Micro honoured with two prizes: ToyAward and Traders’ Favourite for MicroZurich/Küsnacht, February 2012. Every year, the ToyAward honours trade fair novelties that stand out above other products because of their degree of innovation, their product concept, their creativity and the playfulness factor of their idea. With its age-adaptable Kickboard Mini Micro 3in1, the Micro company convinced both, the jury as well as the professional visitors to the toy fair. The Swiss company won the ToyAward and Traders' Favourite 2012.
This year too, about 80‘000 visitors from 114 different countries travelled to the international toy fair in Nuremberg, to discover a total of 70‘000 novelties in the toy industry. Before the start of the fair, the innovation prize ToyAward is awarded by an independent technical jury in each of four categories. The winner of the category "Baby&Infant" was one of the novelties of Micro – the Mini Micro 3in1. But it doesn't end there - during the fair, the professional visitors can also choose their favourite: This honour also went to the Mini Micro 3in1.
The product distinguishes itself through its multifunctionality. Children aged one year onward use the Mini Micro 3in1 with the seat and the O-steering rod like a sort of training bike, but with the popular Kickboard steering. Later, when the child is strongly on its own legs, it drives without a seat, with the short O-steering rod. From approximately 3 years onward, the longer T-steering rod is used and the little vehicle finally gets converted into the much-beloved Mini Micro.
Kickboard inventor Wim Ouboter proudly accepted the prize on the eve of the fair and said "With this invention, we want to provide the option of independent mobility and the unique pleasurable feeling of driving to even the youngest of children. We are delighted to have been awarded this coveted prize this year. But we are equally honoured by the fact that the visitors have also voted for it and selected it as the Traders’ Favourite. That is our motivation to continue to work just as passionately as before“.
Apart from the visitors to the fair, more than 2‘000 journalists who had travelled to Nuremberg for it also showed a lot of interest in the ToyAward winner and the Micro Team enjoyed the presence of high numbers of visitors to its stand.
